Instructions

Before give voltage to the controller connect the supply voltage (clamps 2-3 CONN1), verifying that the installation has an appropriate ground wiring system and the vibrator (clamps VIBRATOR – CONN 2) of the connector (1-4 ground).

According European Norms EMC the controller have a line-filter with leakage current to ground less 1 mA.
To adjust intensity of vibration of the vibratory feeder, turn the adjustment knob (potentiometer 100K) on the box.

Regulation MIN/MAX

To adjust the Min./Max voltage of the vibratory feeder, proceed as follows :
MIN REG.: Turn the potentiometer to minimum, then set the minimum vibration by means of relative trimmer TR1.
MAX REG. : Turn the potentiometer to maximum, then set the maximum vibration by means of relative trimmer TR2.
N.B. : Use a small bladed screw driver in order not to damage the trimmer. Turn it in vertical direction respect to the PC board.

Automatic Input

The vibratory feeder can be regulated with an external signal (0/10V or 0/20mA). To do so, proceed as follows:
Shift jumper Y3 on AUTOMATIC.
Supply an input signal, 0/10V (1-3 CONN2) or 4/20mA (1-2 CONN2) to regulate the vibratory feeder.
The trimmers for the automatic regulation could be used for regulate the minimum and / or the maximum voltage

ON/OFF

The vibratory feeder can be switched off by contact without voltage, using the auxiliary ON/OFF input (1-CONN3
and 1-CONN2) o signal voltage 0-24 VDC (1-CONN3 and 1-CONN2) with logic 0/1 (jumper Y4).

3000/6000 V/M

It is possible to change the frequency of vibration 3000V/m-50Hz (3600V/m-60Hz) or 6000V/m-100Hz (7200V/m-
120Hz) by DP1; before switch off the voltage.

0-24v signal:
Use input 1-2 CONN5 with a 0-24 Vdc signal.
With the DP3 it is possible to turn the ON / OFF logic through the 0-24 V signal or free contact voltage.

Start Ramp

Is possible to change the time of the start ramp (slow 1 sec or fast 0,1 sec) by DP2.

3000/6000 V/m

Is possible to change the frequency of vibration 3000V/m-50Hz (3600V/m-60Hz) or 6000V/m- 100Hz (7200V/m-120Hz) by DP1; before switch off the voltage.

Double Speed

It is possible (on request) to have nr.2 speed (hight and slow speed ) with 2 potentiometers (see catalogue’s sheet DTCV2V)

Note trimmer TR5
The circuit is supplied already calibrated, However it may happen that the vibrator has a vibration different from the standard one.

To solve the problem, simply use the sensitivity adjustment trimmer (TR5) on the circuit STS6 / STS8 in order to adapt
the operation to vibrators with very different vibration amplitudes.

This trimmer moves both the minimum and maximum limits, centering the desired variation. If you have a RMS voltage meter (volmeter), even acting on the min and max trimmers placed on the board, set the Min. to 70 / 90V. at 230V
and 140 / 160V at 400V and the Max. at 190 / 200V at 230V and 330 / 360V at 400V. For the optimal operating point, the following considerations apply: if the circuit is optimized with an empty vibrator, the working point must be placed sufficiently below the line voltage so that by weighing down with the load, the circuit can keep the vibration stable by giving more voltage output. On the other hand, by optimizing with the vibrator at full load, the voltage on the vibrator can only go down as the channel or bowl empties and the working point may be closer to the line voltage.

Note trimmer TR3 – SMOOTH

STS6 or STS8 circuits are supplied with response times that do not give swing problems in the majority of cases.

However, it is possible to change this response time by acting on the TR3 trimmer. Turning it clockwise lengthens the time and it is possible to optimize the operation of particularly sensitive vibrators. On the other hand, turning it anticlockwise the response time is shortened (SLOW) and it is possible to use short break/work. This, however, on vibrators sufficiently rigid. In any case, at the first hint, this time must be lengthened
long enough to eliminate it.

On the other hand, it is practically impossible to expect short response time using very sensitive vibrators. In this
case it is necessary to act mechanically on vibrators.
